Travelodge Finsbury Park review

Great location, a few minutes from the tube/buses and great price. Staff are really friendly and approachable without being overbearing. When a problem did arise they sorted it out very swiftly. Very clean room, powerful shower and very comfy bed.
Would really recommend adding on the breakfast. Reasonably priced and good standard/variety of food- it’ll set you up for the day. Would like to stay again in future.
Was travelling solo and staff made the place feel really safe too.

We initially had an issue with our room but mentioned it to reception and the wonderful staff moved and upgraded our room. They went over and above to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I initially said I wouldn’t come back when I arrived, but actually I definitely would. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

There’s a reason this hotel was the cheapest option.

The bathroom was tiny; I’ve seen bigger cupboards. The drain was clogged with hair that hadn’t been cleaned in a long while and was honestly disgusting. The soap dispenser was broken so we had to scoop the shower gel out with our hands. The plug sockets in the bathroom were smashed up and broken.

The sound from the nearby train tracks is awful and you can hear it even when the window is closed, I can’t imagine what it would have been like if we had the window open.

The signal on both of our networks was non-existent so if you plan on having phone calls then you’ll need to do it outside the building.

The walls are paper-thin so you can hear others opening and closing doors and walking about, so if you’re at the start of the hall you’ll hear everything. There was a strange musty smell throughout the hotel, couldn’t quite place my finger on it but it wasn’t pleasant.

The only positive was the room itself was fairly clean and the staff were fairly friendly on arrival.

I wouldn’t recommend people staying here, just pay a little more and go elsewhere. It’s put me off ever using Travelodge again.

Nice and good place in North London, cheap and fair enough for overnight stay especially in rush without plan. Towels, shower gel and everything you need quickly.

Generally good but a few niggles. Main thing was the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great.

Niggles: room was very warm and the controls did nothing. Couldn’t open the window due to traffic and train noise. The soap dispenser in the shower didn’t work, and no shampoo was supplied. Baffled why you only get 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi then have to pay extra.

Breakfast was pretty good with plenty of options.
