This is a lovely hotel in a great location with nice rooms, however the customer service, aside from the concierge, let this hotel down. I got married around the corner from the hotel, thinking this would make them accommodating but it definitely didn’t. Firstly, I asked if I could get discounted rooms where I had several guests coming to stay, which they quoted me more expensive prices than on their website. I then called to upgrade my room which was a massively difficult to do, where every time I called I spoke to a different person who gave me different information/prices.
On the day of check in I asked if I could get a priority check in, which they said 12 would be the earliest to only be able to check in for half 3 (normal check in time) as the room was not ready. This was so frustrating where I had called them everyday 4 days before asking for early check in to then again be told different information.
Once checked in there was an issue with the water, which understood couldn’t be helped, but when speaking to the staff to let them know they were very rude and blunt to my family members.
My guests who stayed also had issues with their room, such as upgrading to a room to then be given room keys to a room someone was already in, which was extremely distressing. To then be moved to another room that hadn’t been cleaned. When my guests let the hotel know I also had issues with them, they said I should come down and speak to them myself. Again very rude.
The rooms are lovely and you can get an amazing view of London, however the customer service is really letting this hotel down and they need to be more accommodating to their guests.

The location is amazing. Unfortunately that’s where it stops. This hotel absolutely should not be rated anywhere near 4 stars. More like 2 at best. The rooms are old and worn, there is mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, the shower doesn’t get hot water and there’s no mini fridge in the room. When we had to call repeatedly for a bucket of ice we were treated progressively worse. We have a medication we came here from the states to get and it has to stay cold. They treated us like we were a huge annoyance because we kept needing ice.

We are kicking ourselves for not reading the reviews before we booked this non refundable room. If you come for the location, just know what you’re getting yourself into and have very LOW expectations for the rooms!! Unfortunately I don’t think they’re going to change anything after reading other reviews. They just copy and paste a standard response to all of them.

Absolutely wonderful. We booked the Tower Hotel along with a theatre trip for a birthday celebration. Our room was more than comfortable with an outstanding view of Tower Bridge and the River Thames. There was a vast choice for breakfast. We had a view of St Catherine’s Dock for that. 5 star all the way.

After travelling for over 24 hours we arrived to a quick check in. Our room was quite dated, the sink didn’t drain, there was hair in the bathtub and a number of the amenities didn’t work such as the television. There was a fridge in our standard room. We opened it up and the entire room smelled horrific.
As we were exhausted from travelling we went to bed. The morning we reported this to the desk where I was promptly told that the fridge should have been locked as it is not a feature of the standard room. After explaining the rest of the room deficiencies I was told that it’s what’s standard room is. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told my concerns would be brought to their attention and I would be notified if anything could be done. I was simply looking to switch to the same room type as the smell was unbearable. Upon returning that evening i enquired at the desk if anything could be done. The evening supervisor was absolutely fabulous and saved our vacation. He apologized, showed us another room and allowed me to test and smell all the things to ensure we didn’t have the same experience. I am ultimately grateful to this person as they showed empathy and kindness.

Location is fabulous the concierge Ramos was wonderful, helpful and funny! The evening supervisor whose name I cannot recall was absolutely wonderful.

Notes- don’t book the standard room 🙂

If you want the be close to the city but still want to enjoy the silence then this is a perfect hotel. I recommend to take a room with view at the Tower Bridge, this is a magnificent view. The room was just as we expected, it was clean and had everything we needed. A bottle of water every day, fresh towels, a hairdryer, a kettle to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. The staff is friendly and willing to help if necessary.
The underground station and bus stop Tower Hill is just 800m from the hotel. Restaurant Vicinity is the same building if you like to have diner at the hotel. At the marine just around the corner are more restaurants.
