We went yesterday for my birthday for afternoon tea. It was the most amazing experience. The food was delicious and the service was second to none. Even at one point when I felt a bit unwell (dehydrated) and the waiter came over to check if I was okay and got me a glass of water straight away. Very observant. I got emotional when all of us whose birthday it was got a little cake with a candle and the piano player played ‘happy birthday’ in the back ground. Such a nice touch. We are already planning another visit with our family and I would like to bring my best friend. Thank you

I went for afternoon tea in early January where I tried a selection of sandwiches, all of which were catered to be Halal which was impeccable.

The quality of the food really shines through and you can taste all aspects of the dish, such simplistic sandwiches done in the best way possible.

The tea at the Ritz is unlike any other, it is specially selected and has such a unique taste. I would definitely recommend the Ritz English Breakfast Blend.

Finally, the service from Keaton and Sebastian was definitely some of the best service I’ve ever received, both did an amazing job and were great to talk to.

3 friends and I booked afternoon tea at The Ritz as a joint celebration as we’re all turning 40. It’s obviously not cheap but was well worth going for the experience. The surroundings were very opulent, a harpist was playing throughout. I had let them know in advance that I am vegetarian but also lactose free. This was no issue and I had a fantastic selection of food, served on separate dishes. We started with ordering tea from a menu, this was quickly served (in beautiful silver teapots) followed by sandwiches and cakes. The photos show my ovo-veggie ones. It was all delicious. We were offered more sandwiches before scones were served. I again had my own lactose free ones along with vegan clotted cream & jam. The service, as you’d expect from somewhere like The Ritz was exceptional. As I had mentioned a birthday when booking, the staff brought out a small complimentary birthday cake with a lit candle. We were all so full by that point it wasn’t eaten. Noticing this, the wait staff boxed it & gave it to us in a bag to take away. Another lovely touch was that when leaving, the concierge at reception offered to take our photo. He directed us to a beautiful staircase to do this, so now we have those lovely pictures of us together at the Ritz. With service charge, the cost was around £85 each. As a special occasion/ one off treat, I’d definitely recommend it

Came here for afternoon tea with my wife and family as it was my wife’s birthday. I couldn’t fault it from the doorman to the cloakroom attendant. All were so professional and charming. The food was excellent and then a relaxing drink in the bar to finish a wonderful afternoon.

One of the door staff seemed a tad peculiar he was in a grey suit, but that aside, the manager and receptionist more than made up for it with their delightful hospitality. The presence of fresh flowers and the gentle strains of harp music added a touch of elegance, enhancing the already inviting and serene atmosphere of the afternoon tea and lounge areas. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, one that I would gladly repeat ❤️
